Science teacher & curriculum builder

Hi, I’m Liz, a high school science teacher and the creator of SciAcademy. I teach physics and chemistry, and I design classroom-tested resources that help students understand complex ideas with confidence while giving teachers a more user-friendly way to plan and teach.

What started as a small Teachers Pay Teachers store and a simple dream of more vacation time with my family quickly grew into something bigger. After the global pandemic, the needs of teachers and students shifted, and it became clear that cherry-picked downloadable resources alone weren’t enough. Teachers needed more support. Students needed better clarity. Physics needed to feel less daunting and more accessible.

Built from my own classroom experience, SciAcademy offers classroom-tested resources, structured practice, and labs that actually work within real time constraints. With more on teachers’ plates and less time to do the things, SciAcademy is designed to make it more manageable: intentional bellringers for steady, relevant review and on-topic sub plans that keep learning moving when you’re in and out of the classroom. Everything here is designed to support understanding, reduce overwhelm, and help teachers teach with confidence.
