I’ve always loved science and teaching. Back in 2007, I started teaching chemistry and physics and quickly realized how much I enjoyed creating lessons that actually worked in the classroom.
And then, life shifted. As a newly divorced, single mom in 2017, I opened my TpT store, Elizabeth Smith Education, just hoping to make a little extra income to take my son on vacation. I thought I might earn a few hundred dollars. Instead, that small side-hustle grew into something much bigger and became an answer to prayer.
Through ES Education, I get to combine everything I love: building classroom-tested physics and chemistry resources that engage students and support teachers, and helping other full-time teachers build a meaningful side income, finding success on TpT.
Nearly twenty years later, I’m still teaching, and I’m also sharing what I’ve learned through tools, templates, and strategies designed to make both teaching and income more sustainable.
